We're a different kind of publisher with a different kind of internship.
Publishing is a fun and exciting industry, and with the rise of digital media is undergoing some dramatic changes. Familius is a small company, so an internship with us means you’ll be on the frontlines of all the changes—forget pushing papers and getting others coffee. As a Familius intern, you’ll be given free reign to design covers, edit manuscripts, lay out books, create digital publications, and explore the world of publishing. And by the end of your internship, you can expect to see your very own work appear on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Apple’s iBookstore.

Meet Clarise
Clarise grew up in Oklahoma, but is a Texan at heart. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, reading, knitting, crocheting, and anything else that grandmothers tend to do. Not surprisingly, she also loves cats, and jokes that "My husband saved me from being a crazy cat lady who lives alone with her nine cats."

Following her internship with Familius, Clarise will graduate in April and move with her husband to South Carolina where they both have dream jobs at a local resort: he will work with film, and she will be editing and designing pamphlets and the resort magazine.

In addition to working with Familius, Clarise has worked on the staff of two journals, including Chiasm, a neuroscience journal, and AWE, a women's studies journal.

We're grateful for Clarise's internship with us, and for her dedication to our work. Clarise is one of the most hardworking individuals we have ever met, and we were constantly impressed by her determination to hit deadlines. One of her projects included laying out Glad to be Dad, a fabulous book by author Tim Myers. Check out her work!

Thank you, Clarise, for being part of our journey. We're proud to call you a member of the family.
